Thank you Veterans!

 Happy Memorial Day everyone! Especially the Veterans and the families of all our active service persons!  It's been a lovely weekend, visiting family and pretty long drives. I was born in Vermont and I am still astonished by how beautiful this state is! My husband and I love to go exploring and yard sale-ing. We went to an auction in Fayston this afternoon and the property where it was held was just stunning. 360 degree views of the mountains all around. Lovely old barn. Bought a few goodies! I thought my house had pretty views.. but this was spectacular! Aren't auctions fun!? 

Finally got my website for the bears updated and rebuilt..sorry I am have logistical problems with the shopping cart but the email address and phone number are good in the mean time!

Sunday Morning come and gone!

 Hey Deb it doesn't take much to distract me! I have the attention span and focus of a gnat some days! ( actually they may have a better one,,those things BITE!)  Maybe because in Quality at work I need to focus so much? Did get house stuff and errands done. Took the kids to dinner Friday night. Haley is teething and Colton slept right through! However,,Windows 7 still confuses me..and I haven't clarified the website update in my head yet i guess! One more bear to add here at least!  Meet "Owen"  he is my version of the New England Teddy Show challenge bear. Half of his purchase price goes to Charity !  The Franklin Humane Society now!

My brain hurts!

What is it about me that makes everything so complicated?! Am I the only one who makes simple things so much more complicated than they need to be? My troubles with my web software led me to dump all of my recent hard work updating it...and then i got "spring fever" thanks to the lovely job Deb from New Avenue crew did on her blog!  Which led me to spend more time playing than finishing anything! Sigh..such is my life! Half finished everywhere! I will have to make an effort to rein myself in soon, before I unravel all over the place! :)  Mama Robin is still sitting on that bear (see below) ,, I want my porch back, but I love to watch them anyway. So until i make some forward progress let me introduce a new bear or two here!

Love / Hate relationship with computers

  I have been working on completing one of those simple tasks that turned into (eventually ) a strong desire to childishly jump up and down on a software disk and then watch it go up in flames on the bbq grill! I spent days updating my website ; getting it just where I wanted it ..publishing it should have taken 3 minutes or less. NOT!!  You could not GIVE me a job in tech support.  After talking to some very nice ( unhelpful ) people 2 nights in a row and re purchasing and downloading a fresh copy..I give up!  Have gone back to what I was using and need to begin again.  I love computers and the freedom they give us to meet wonderful people and see delightful things we would never see otherwise.. but hello! can anything be more frustrating some days?! So I will get this site updated and linked here "As GOD is my witness!" Scarlett O'Hara!  but it might be awhile..:)

learning curve

Please be patient with my dizzying swing around the learning curve. you all have been very kind with your comments!  Debora has sent me a neat tutorial im going to follow after work this evening.

It's soo ME to set up a blog and THEN learn how to use it!  Quirk of my personality..dive in head first and backstroke! Spring is back..the rhubarb is up..birds are no longer cranky..and there has been a frost every morning this week! oh wait..dogs are cranky..my springer is grumbling because we are on the computer and not paying attention to him. Kids!

I love Prims!

 I have hunted this area twice over and FINALLY found a copy of the new "Prims" magazine! Some of my favorite artists are inside! they are all imaginative talented people but my favorite piece is Julie Haymaker Thompsons silly little dog !  He has rusty nail feet! Her pieces always make me smile, and on that note I'm off to work to support my silly dogs eating habits! ( they have an insane collection of toys!)  Check out this magazine from Stampington Co its really amazing. 

It's snowing in Vermont

 Now you wouldn't think that was news in Vermont..but even here we rarely have snow in May! Thanks to the surprise snowfall last week that dropped a foot of snow on the tall green grass awaiting our return from vacation..we now have REALLY tall grass with even more snow on it!

Mowing is still out of the question. Odd to see apple trees in thick white blossoms sitting on a white lawn. There are frozen dandelions and cranky robins outside my window! There is one intrepid bird who has chosen to nest atop a bear carving on my porch. They cannot be persuaded that its not the best place to raise a family. Oh well better than last year when she chose the wheel well of my car! I had to leave it parked for several weeks until the babies had fledged!

Now that I have gotten my feet wet so to speak , here in the Blogging world..please pop in again and talk about bears and crafts and mysteries like why cats  can't stay out of trouble!
