Can't quit yet I guess

We came home tonight to the most awful mess...we had the cement ground off the floor today,,knew it would be messy but holy cow! It looked like a horror house with the big drapey heavy cobwebs..EVERYWHERE! AUGHH

I quit!

I have been chipping away at slate for almost three weeks..you can see part of my kitchen here..enough! got it all! I cant move another thing!! The contractors come this morning to finish! YEA!! I need a vacation soon!

Brianna's birthday

New baby Snipe!

This Snipe has been hanging around the yard and last night she brought her new babies!
I can usually get quite close to her,,but one baby is a straggler and she waited to protect it, as i approached slowly so did she until she was standing guard over him.
then in the 2nd photo she fanned her tail to warn me off. Didn't know they could do that!
I love living in the country!
